This is truly an excellent site. It is nice to see you are not letting your draconian government stop you cold. Seasons greetings and all the best for the future form the Northland Black Powder Club, Whangarei, NEW ZEALAND.

Greetings from San Antonio, Texas. We adore the British, and we wish you the very best in your endeavors.

An truly excellent web site promoting a sport many of us have continued with, despite the Governments efforts to wear us down with new rules and regulations. At my club we only shoot .22 prone rifle and air weapons so are unable to join your postal competition. All the best for the future.
I have put a link to this site from ours (www.watford.district.btinternet.co.uk). I just wish our site looked as professional.

YOU WON !

Thanks to the support provided by everyone, we have been told two hours ago that the Sealand Ranges are to remain open under the MoD !

To all at Harlow who helped - THANK YOU from all at The Phoenix Shooters Association, Cheshire.

Hi, I just discovered your site. I am an American and find it hard to undersand how you permitted your government to take away your guns.
THe gun magazines state that crime has increased since the ban on guns went in force. Is this true? Seems like its time to overthrow the Crown if you cannot protect yourself. (JOKE)

We are having the same problem with our government - seems like everyone wants me to give up my guns so they can sleep better. What about my sleep?

Anyway, have a nice day and good luck with your political situation.

Still officially a tourist but having fun spending my "government inheritance" anyone interested in shooting in PHX contact me.

Great site,
I'm down the road from you at EFPC, met Graham a few times at stone lodge before it's demise.
Nothing in your site about western action shooting? (Stone Lodge, Musket & Pistol Club) do you do any?
I shall certainly return to your site to catch up on your news.
All the best
Roger

Great site! A real treat to find such a welcoming and well thought out site devoted to our sport. keep it up.

By Dave on Tuesday, December 31, 2002 - 07:56 am:

It's great to see that shooting sports are continuing in the UK despite the governments attempts to stop them. A friend and I took a couple of British Military Fire Fighters to our range to shoot some handguns and rifles and they had a great time. Your Mini Rifle match looks like alot of fun, we might give it a go at our club.
Keep shooting, Dave

Hi Guys.
I am settled in Arizona finally, the green card came through and they can't get rid of me for the next ten years. LOL
Th weather is great, plenty of shooting, no draconian measure, we can still have machineguns, although the cost is enough to choke a donkey.
Anyone wishing to take advantage of shooting in Arizona should contact me, we have the guns and the weather, winter here is the time to come, cheap flight etc.

Hi there,
From Australia. Lots of gun control problems here. I think half the people have lost the plot. They are against self defence, defence of homes, gun ownership, etc.
More clubs and teach the kids is our only hope
of keeping our competitive and hunting rifle shooting, not to mention our hand guns!
Great site, more power to you, and safe shooting.

How about posting some pic's of some Mini-Rifles? I would love to see the different approaches to this sport. With all the gun control measure in the UK how do you get to have short barrelled rifle and we in the States don't???

Great site

By Ed Winskill on Tuesday, August 31, 2004 - 10:50 pm:

Nice to see your shooting club in operation over there. I'm a single-action sixgun shooter in Washington State. It's sad to see the state of Brit gun laws but good to see your club still at it. Outlawing of cartridge airguns?
I own a Uberti-made 1873 .45 Colt Bisley. Colt made these in the 1890s; named after the great UK shooting range. Irony there.
Keep up the fight!

Hi I just came across your site. I am a member of a North Bay shooting Club in Ontario Canada. I am currently surfing the net from the most northern tip of Ellsemere Island about 260miles from the North Pole. Not much shooting up here. It's a national park. This seems like a really good site. Well done! TTFN

This is Dave from What Used to be The Safari Gun Club, In London, want to say Hi to my good friend Mark Bradley, and any one else who knows me, it is a shame to see what is left of our shooting sports there in UK, I like most who could Opted to Leave! i now am Back Working in Law Enforcement in the USA, I still get regularly shot at, bit like being at the Safari!
good to see the club spirit still strong.

Cool site. Am awaiting FAC at mo & intended to get a 10/22 for rabbiting. Have always prefered a pistol grip stock & your customised rugers look like the sort of thing I'm after. Will definately be paying a visit to see you guys in action, looks like a lot a fun.

Would like to see more pics of the members enjoying the sport.

By Mike Bonner on Monday, November 06, 2006 - 01:07 am:

I'm glad indeed to see how you guys are having a lot of fun despite your government. I was born in Essex, but have lived in Canada for 30 years. I live on a farm in Manitoba and have black bears, elk, moose and whitetail deer on the property. I have a firing range for pistol and rifle. I just bought an Essex Arms IPSC 45 second-hand, but I have to get the gunsmith to get the trigger pull up from 2.5lbs to 4 as it is too light. I do a lot of sporting clays shooting in the summer, I use a Remington 11-87 semi-auto in 12 ga for that. So I'm enjoying myself and glad to be over here, frankly. I use a Walther PPK for skunks as it is so handy.

Hi, Just gettin into air gunning at the ripe old age of 59. I've bought some great "gear" lately & thoroughly enjoyed your lighthearted approach to a serious hobby. Shame your club is so far away. Anyhow, thanks for the info , education & humour. May this sport continue to grow despite the bloody do gooders /badly informed politicians, etc.Good luck ! Regards, Ron Thaw.
